LAW ENFORCEMENT

Developing the people side of leadership in law enforcement.

Law enforcement professionals are extensively prepared for the technical and tactical responsibilities of the profession. As people assume greater responsibility, they are also called upon to lead people, shape workplace culture, navigate relationships, address performance, and develop others. Those responsibilities require a different set of skills.

THE EPIPHANY APPROACH

Developing people throughout the agency

Epiphany focuses on the people side of leadership, working with sworn and civilian professionals throughout the organization. Our development respects the operational expertise of the profession while concentrating on the area where we bring our own expertise: developing people who lead and influence other people.

Stronger organizational cultures

Stronger leaders help shape stronger organizational cultures.

Understanding stress. Exploring practical techniques.

The 40-hour course combines classroom instruction with experiential learning. The Second Alarm Project discusses critical incident response. An elective experiential hour introduces practical relaxation techniques, including chair yoga, that participants may not otherwise encounter or consider.

LAW ENFORCEMENT · CLIENT VOICES

Relevant to the agency. Useful to its leaders.

“Desirée Nero delivered one of the most impactful trainings our department has experienced. Her sessions didn’t just check a box—they opened minds. Over 130 of our sworn and civilian personnel engaged in honest, at times uncomfortable, but ultimately transformative conversations. Desirée created a safe space for my officers to reflect, speak candidly, and commit to personal growth. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants praising her clarity, relevance, and ability to connect. With average satisfaction scores near perfect—including a 4.93 for her instruction alone—this training has laid the groundwork for long-term change within the Riviera Beach Police Department. We need more of this—not less.”

“Not only is she a great instructor, but she also goes above and beyond to create a welcoming learning environment where officers can have discussions about complex topics.”
